Zakaria El Hathat is an Assistant Professor at Rabat Business School, International University of Rabat, Morocco. He obtained his MSc in Big Data and the Internet of Things at the National Graduate School of Engineering Arts et Metiers (ENSAM), Hassan II University in Casablanca, Morocco and his PhD from the International University of Rabat.
His research examines how information technology, including blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI), drives the creation of sustainable operations management. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Business Strategy and the Environment, and Information Systems Frontiers.
He has presented his research at prestigious international conferences, including the INFORMS Annual Meeting. He also received the 2024 PhD Dissertation Award from the Center for Applied Research and Innovation in Supply Chain–Africa (CARISCA).
